HEADLEY's autumn fete has been described by organisers as the best yet.
Some 2,000 people descended on the village green last Saturday to enjoy a variety of traditional attractions, including 50 stalls.
Fete committee chairman Rosemary Schofield said it had been "another extremely successful day for Headley" and praised the hard work of the committee and helpers, particularly the presentation skills of committee member Caroline Hunt, who commentated throughout the day.
