HASLEMERE Town Band made sure the town council’s annual Christmas carols went with a swing.

More than 200 residents packed into the hall at Haslemere Museum for the joyful event, compered by a festive town crier Christian Ashdown (see Page 6).

A highlight of the night was a surprise visit from Santa courtesy of the Rotary Club.

Town mayor John Robini, who gave a welcome speech, said: “The evening was a great success. Special thanks go to Haslemere Museum for hosting the event, Haslemere Town Band, The Rotary Club and Haslemere’s award winning town crier.”
