THE Hedgehogs and Dempster Trust has donated £2,500 to the Woodlarks Camp Site Trust for disabled people towards the purchase of a new hoist for the charity’s outdoor swimming pool.
The hoist cost in the region of £4,000 and the donation from the Hedgehogs and Dempster Trust has enabled Woodlarks to complete the purchase and installation.
Woodlarks Camp Site is one of Farnham’s oldest charities and has been operating as a camp site for more than 80 years.
Many organisations across England that support disabled people use the camp site to provide its guests with a variety of activities, including games, crafts, barbecues and the swimming pool, in an environment offering peace and security.
John Roberts of the Hedgehogs said at the presentation: “The Hedgehogs and Dempster Trust worked together to ensure Woodlarks had a significant donation towards the cost of the new hoist.
“Woodlarks continues to be a fantastic centre used by many disabled organisations and the hoist is a key critical piece of equipment to ensure that Woodlarks guests maximise the use of the pool.”
