EAST Hampshire District Council has agreed to release £63,500 to carry out repairs at Alton Sports Centre.

At a cabinet meeting on March 13, it was agreed that the funding should be released in the financial year 2012/13 as part of a £138,500 package to improve the district's leisure facilities.

The biggest handout goes to Alton Sports Centre, with the majority going on condensation and roofing repairs.
