HEALTHWATCH Surrey has launched a Community Cash Fund for 2016/17 to help individuals and small groups undertake community projects to boost wellbeing.

Last year, the fund supported six projects including seated dance sessions for older people living alone and a video project made by young people about their experiences of mental health issues.

Projects should meet the following criteria:n

• Increase the participation and involvement of disadvantaged communities in health and social care related services.

• Increase the feedback from hard to reach or seldom heard communities about health and social care services.

• Improve the wellbeing of hard to reach or seldom heard communities through involvement. Applications should be submitted by Friday, September 9, and the winners will be announced a week later.
