FRIENDS and family of motocross victim Brad Hooper joined together as they remembered Brad in a fundraising event which has raised more than £2,680 for the Hampshire and Isle-of-Wight Air Ambulance - Brad’s charity.

Bradley who attended Heath End School, in Farnham, died during a motocross event on May 11, 2014, after being hit by an airborne bike at the Tony Moto track near Winchester.

On July 30, Brad’s mum Michelle his sister Beth and Michelle’s family, along with the Portsmouth Motocross Club held a fundraising event at Culham Park Motocross Track near Oxford in his memory.

There was a grand raffle with more than 80 prizes to be won by visitors – with Brad’s uncle Derry announcing the winning tickets.

Brad’s family would like to thank all the local companies and the national motocross industries who kindly donated prizes towards the raffle, and also professional motocross riders who so kindly donated signed race shirts.

Brad’s uncle Kevin and his partner, Caroline, organised bike events throughout the day, which included ‘Skid for a Squid’ and mountain bike racing.

Special thanks go to Kay Turner and Martin Bradbury from the Portsmouth club for all their help and support and for making this a special and memorable event.

This would not have been possible without the support from riders, committee members and everyone at the meeting who donated and dug deep in their pockets for the air ambulance, who flew in to help Brad.

They will continue to support Brad’s charity so his memory will live on, gone but never forgotten.
