SIXTY golfers enjoyed a brisk, bright autumn day at Farnham Golf Club last Friday and raised nearly £2,000 for the Brightwells Gostrey Centre.

Brightwells chairman Stephen Inman thanked Dr Richard Fisher, who organised the day.

He also paid tribute to The Sands club's hospitality, saying: "We have had another highly successful day here, starting with Bob Stott's legendary full English breakfast.

"In particular, given the time of year, the greens were in excellent condition."

The day's competition was won by Farnham stalwarts Ian and Judith Nicoll and Doug and Annette Dungate.
