THE annual White Dove Collectors Transport Show returned on Sunday, raising thousands of pounds for charity.

Held in support of the Farnham-based Phyllis Tuckwell Cancer Charity, the show saw around 700 veteran, vintage and classic cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles displayed at Kingsley Cricket Club’s home on Sickles Lane.

While the fundraising total is yet to be finalised, organiser John Turner estimated that the event should have generated around £14,000, having hosted more than 1,000 guests. Cash raised from the event are used to buy vehicles, such as minibuses and vans, for Phyllis Tuckwell.

“It was a cracking day,” said Mr Turner, who thanked “all the people who came and supported us”.
