A CONTROVERSIAL 'furniture shop' in The Woolmead, Farnham, has been granted an alcohol licence by Waverley Borough Council just months after a court ordered the outlet to close. Innsatiable, dubbed 'The Licensed Lounge' for the purposes of its licensing hearing as a tongue-in-cheek reference to the shop's recent battles with the licensing authorities, will be allowed to serve alcohol seven days a week from 10am until as late as 12.30am on Friday and Saturday. The premises has courted controversy since opening in July 2012 largely for its business model, which entails serving alcohol free of charge while instead charging customers for beer mats and other furniture.
