THE ALLEN Gallery will host its second open exhibition from October 1-28.
All amateur and professional artists are invited to submit up to three works in any medium, including sculpture, photographs and textiles.
An entry fee of £2 per work applies, to cover administration costs.
There will be a prize for the work considered outstanding by the judges. There will also be a prize for the Visitors’ Favourite.
Jamie Allen, manager of the gallery, said: “Following the success of last year’s exhibition, we are delighted to invite submissions again this year. It is a great opportunity for artists who may not otherwise have enough work to warrant exhibiting but would like to showcase one or two works.”
The gallery hopes to display as many works as space permits, however it may not be possible to display all works submitted. A panel of judges will make the final decision as to the works displayed. There is no limit on the size of works, however there is a limit on the number of very large works that can be displayed and floor space is limited.
Interested artists can get more information and an entry form from the Allen Gallery or on the website, www.hampshireculturaltrust.org.uk/allen-gallery. Works need to be delivered, with completed entry form, to the gallery by September 24.
