THE Allen Gallery in Church Street, Alton, will host its annual open exhibition next month.

The exhibition runs from October 13-27 and amateur and professional artists are invited to display their work. Each artist will be able to submit up to three works in any medium, including sculpture, photographs and textiles.

Entry is £2 per exhibit.

There will be a prize for the exhibit considered outstanding by the judges and one for visitors’ favourite.

Sophie McLean, manager of the Allen Gallery, said: “Following huge interest, we once again invite submissions from artists for what promises to be the best open exhibition yet.”

While the gallery hopes to include as many exhibits as space permits, judges will make the final decision as to the works displayed. There is no limit on the size of exhibit but there is a limit on the number of very large works that can be displayed as floor space is limited.

For an entry form, call in to the Allen Gallery or e-mail [email protected]. Exhibits need to be delivered, with completed entry form, to the Allen Gallery from October 2-6.
