A large contingent of Farnham’s many Ukrainian guests were applauded through the town centre as they joined the Farnham Carnival procession last Saturday.

They were photographed through the town by Natalia Sharomova, a photojournalist from Kyiv who arrived in the UK earlier this year with her two children.

Among them was Tatiana Reima, who recently arrived in the UK after fleeing the fighting in Kyiv, and is pictured holding her 11 month old son Nazar on the front page of this week’s Herald.

The Ukrainian’s procession entry was organised by the Farnham Homes for Ukraine and Farnham Stands With Ukraine groups, who have collectively brought hundreds of Ukrainian refugees to the Farnham area since fighting began earlier this year.

This week’s Herald contains no fewer than 20-pages of photos from this year’s Farnham Carnival, as well as two of Natalia’s outstanding images. Pick up a copy, on sale now for just £1 in shops across the area...
