RESIDENTS at Anchorstone Nursing Home in Farnham carried on the Queen’s birthday celebrations at their annual garden party earlier this month.

The party was attended by the Mayor of Farnham John Ward and his consort, alongside special guest Michael Murphy and friend Flo from the Royal Hospital Chelsea, who ran the tombola.

Chris MacLeod, registered manager at Anchorstone, said: “A wonderful part of the day is relatives of residents no longer with us coming back to share memories.

“Our residents and their friends and families enjoyed the party atmosphere with performer Natasha singing songs from the musicals, and then a good old fashioned singalong. We had a wonderful buffet provided by Connect Catering.

“The tombola stall was fully stocked with gifts donated by residents’ families and staff which raises money for the residents fund to be spent on fish ‘n’ chip suppers and extra entertainment. A wonderful day, enjoyed by all.”
