The stores’ involvement formed part of their continuing support of local charity fundraising and anything that involves children in the community always gets their vote.
The Eagle Easter Egg appeal encouraged the public and local businesses to donate Easter eggs, which were then donated to 50 different charities and organisations across the Surrey region to help less fortunate children enjoy their Easter.
Specsavers stores in Farnham, Alton, Aldershot, Camberley, Fleet, Woking, Guildford and Farnborough came together to be collection points for their customers and residents to donate.
Lateef Iqbal, store director at Farnham, Alton and Camberley, said: “Specsavers participated in the Eagle Radio Christmas Toy Appeal for the first time last year and we were overwhelmed by the support we received from our local communities.
“It was a unanimous decision for us to extend our support to the Easter egg appeal this year. All it takes is for one person to buy an Easter egg, yet together we can all make a big difference. We are delighted to be involved.”
