ALTON district councillor Bob Booker has called for a tougher policy on empty homes.
He has proposed a motion to council, seconded by fellow Liberal Democrat Harry Cunliffe, to implement a more active policy and, if necessary, use compulsory purchase orders to bring some empty properties back into use.
