NHS Surrey is urging people to get their flu vaccination now, especially if they are in the "at risk" group, and not wait until their is a flu outbreak this winter.
Reports of a shortage of vaccine, caused by a supply problem, should not put people off booking an appointment with their GP surgery, the health authority said this week.
In Surrey last year, only 47 per cent of people under 65 in "at risk" groups took advantage of the jab, leaving more than half vulnerable.
