THE annual Seale and Sands Summer Show will take place on Saturday, July 1, with the new earlier opening time of 1pm.

Put on your togas and race your chariots down to The Sands Recreation Ground on Littleworth Road for a Roman-themed afternoon of entertainment.

Attractions include traditional Morris dancing, sheep racing and Battling Boadicea - involving flour and water bombs and some rather messy children!

There will also be a dog’s obstacle course, a petting farm plus traditional games such as hoopla and hook-a-duck, to a parade of classic cars and wang-a-welly.

There is still time to enter into one of the many classes in the exhibition, including arts, crafts, baking, flowers, fruit and vegetables.

Entry is free with a suggested donation of £1 for parking on the field.

As the show comes to a close, the Summer’s Evening Party gets under ay, with live band The High and Mighty, a feast fit for an army provided by Sarah and Mark from The Little Barn Cafe at Elstead and a bar run by the Royal British Legion.
