THE reception children at St Andrew’s Infant School in Farnham have been learning the story of The Gingerbread Man as part of their ‘Once Upon a Time’ topic.

They made and decorated plenty of gingerbread men, as they wanted to raise money to buy a goat for a family in Africa through Oxfam Unwrapped.

They had learnt about how useful goats can be when they had a visit from Miller’s Ark Farm a few weeks ago.

The children wrote invitations, posters and price labels, and enjoyed selling their biscuits to parents and family.

The children counted the money, and were “amazed” to find that they had raised more than £50, enough to buy two animals.
