TWO girls from Bordon, who do not wish to be named, claim they were beaten up by a female bouncer at a Guildford night-spot on Saturday, August 6.
The girls and a male friend were on a night out, when they left one bar to go and meet friends in another establishment. As they crossed the road they were in high spirits and larking about with one another.
When they approached the doors of the second bar they claimed they were stopped by a female bouncer who told one of the girls that she was too drunk to be allowed in. The girl said she tried reasoning with the bouncer and explained that she was fine and that they had only been joking around.
The girl explained: "We were having a good night out. I can see why it looked as though I was drunk, but I was just being silly.
"As soon as I spoke to the bouncer, she should have realised that I was fine. Yes, I had had a few drinks, but I could still walk perfectly normally.
"I thought because she was a woman I would be able to reason with her and go and join my friends.
"Instead, she grabbed me forcefully around the neck and wrapped her leg around my leg so that I tripped and fell onto the road," the girl claimed. "I must have hit my head hard on the floor as I fell because I can't remember a thing after that, so I only know what my friends have told me.
"I know I was lucky not to get run over because it is a busy road."
She continued: "I'm not a troublemaker. I've been going out in Guildford for years and I've never been turned away from that bar before.
"I'm not the type of person who causes trouble. Even the police said that night that they have had problems with this woman before. She's very butch and aggressive," the girl claimed.
The girl said that according to witnesses at the scene, she was then punched by one of the male bouncers when she was on the floor. A fight then broke out between the girl's male friend and the male bouncer as he attempted to protect her.
The girl added: "My friend also saw what was happening from inside the bar because she was by the window and she ran out to try to stop the fight. The bouncers then began attacking her.
"Her mother has taken pictures of the bruises - they are all over her ribs and stomach. It's quite shocking."
Both girls said they have had to visit their GPs for a check up to ensure that there is not any serious long-term damage.
"A lot of my friends were out with me and saw exactly what happened. I don't know what will happen from here.
"All I know is, I will never go back to that bar again and the bouncer should be sacked because she's a liability.
"I'm still so angry, after all, I wouldn't get away with behaving like that, so why should a bouncer?
"Even if I had been drunk (which I most certainly wasn't), it wouldn't have been a reason to attack me so viciously. There's no way of justifying her behaviour. It wasn't as if I could fight back.
"I'm not a ladette who always gets into fights, and anyway bouncers are there to stop trouble, not cause it."
The girl's mother said: "I was really shocked when she came home and told me about it. I'm just pleased that she was out with several friends who tried to look after.
"The thought of her lying in the middle of the road, with the bouncers punching her, really turns my stomach. You just can't behave like that - I don't care what your job is."
Guildford police officers went to each of the girls' houses on Tuesday night and took statements. Over the next couple of weeks they will continue to speak to people who were at the scene.
