THE under-16 girls netball team from Weydon School are through to the final of the Surrey Schools Cup and bid to be the first team to win the competition.

On their road to the final the girls have had a number of impressive victories against, George Abbott, Royal Albert and Alexandra and St Peter’s School.

In the final the Weydon School team will be playing the team from either Howard of Effingham or All Hallows, date yet to be finalised.

Lara Crenan, netball coach at Weydon, said: “The hard work and commitment of this group of girls is outstanding. Their passion and love for the game, as well as their desire to improve is a pleasure to coach.”
