A THREATENED care home in Farnham has been given a glimmer of hope after a council chief suggested "pooling its resources" with the NHS to help fund the much-loved facility.
Cobgates, in Falkner Road, is among six council-run care homes Surrey County Council proposes closing after a review found they are failing to meet modern standards.
But in the wake of staunch opposition to Cobgates' closure, Surrey's cabinet member for adult social care, Mel Few, has given the first indication that the council could reverse its decision.
