AN Alton company became the target on Tuesday of a peaceful but determined demonstration against the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in the production of animal feed.
A group of around 20 young people from across the south, some local, barricaded the gates to BOCM Pauls mill on the Mill Lane industrial estate, putting up banners, effecting temporary closure of the mill, and stopping lorries from delivering to the site.
