A 15-ACRE woodland burial ground near the Six Bells roundabout has been given the go-ahead, subject to the results of archaeological trial pits dug over the next few weeks.

Site owner Mike Wilson, who runs the Farnham Park Hotel adjoining the site, said this week that machinery was already in place to undertake the work, which was imposed as a requirement for planning consent by Waverley's western area planning committee.
