You don’t have to spend hundreds of pounds to see Oasis perform in Manchester next weekend.

Just go mad for it in Wrecclesham, instead – as a performance by the Oasis Twirlstars will be one of the highlights at next Sunday’s village fete (July 13).

Organisers have promised an amazing day of activities, entertainment and good old family fun from 12.30pm to 5pm on the recreation grounds.

Visitors will find more than 50 stalls and lots of traditional games like hook-a-duck and test your strength along with lots of funfair rides to keep children entertained.

The aforementioned baton twirlers will be among the acts providing music and entertainment with firm favourite The Singing Princess coming back to serenade the crowd.

Performances by the Demeric School of Dance, a fantastic tribute band and the Farnham Brass Band are also on the bill along with the day also including a classic car display and ever-popular dog show.

There’s no chance of going hungry or thirsty as everything from curry to sizzling BBQ goodness will be available with free candy floss for the kids.

“Let’s not forget the array of crafts, artisan and gifts stalls this year,” said a spokesperson for the Wrecclesham Fete Committee.

“Expect to find everything from homemade candles and jewellery to locally made honey, so there will be something for everyone.”

The event is also a big one for charities as good causes like Cats Protection, Wrecclesham Guides, Phyllis Tuckwell and St Peters and Grace churches set up stalls along with young entrepreneurs from Weydon School.

And finally, raffle tickets can be snapped up in the community tent where visitors can also find information on a variety of local activities and services.
