THE golden postboxes which celebrate Team GB and Paralympics GB success at London 2012 are here to stay.

And, according to bosses at the Royal Mail, that will include both postboxes painted to celebrate Peter Charles, who won Olympic gold in the equestrian team showjumping.

Mr Charles has two gold boxes dedicated to his success – the first in Paper Mill Lane, Alton, and the second in his home village of neighbouring Bentworth.

Each golden postbox will have a plaque which names the athlete and marks their achievements.
