GREEN-fingered folk in Farnham have had replicated Britain's golden summer.

Floral Farnham has struck gold in the best town centre category in the South and South East in Bloom competition for the second successive year.

And the glorious gardeners, spearheaded by Farnham Town Council, doubled up by taking top spot in the large town category.

The prestigious competition included more than 300 entries ranging from small villages to large cities across Surrey, Sussex, Kent and Hampshire.
