A PARISH council that shares a boundary with land earmarked for a golf course has swung in favour of protesters.
Liss Parish Council has expressed concerns with plans to turn common land near Rake into a heathland golf course.
Bosses at Old Thorns Golf and Country Estate insist their plans to build a course on part of Weavers Down will help the environment.
But objectors believe the scheme could be the thin end of the wedge and will harm a protected landscape that teems with wildlife.
