Dunsfold Park’s Jigsaw School has received a cash boost from the Ladies Captain of Foxbridge Golf Club.

Pat Hill nominated the school for children with autism to benefit from fundraising events over the past year that included a barbecue, a pre-New Year’s Eve party, raffles and participation in the Surrey Hills Three Peaks Challenge.

Jigsaw’s community and events fundraiser Sally Ward was invited to attend a lunch to mark the end of the Ladies Golf Captain’s term at the club. After the meal she was presented with a cheque for £2,766.50 by Pat Hill. The money will be used to purchase an interactive music system designed for developmental play and multi-sensory therapy.

Presenting the cheque, Pat Hill said: “I am delighted by the amount of money I have been able to raise for this inspirational local charity and know that the equipment they will be able to buy will be of great benefit to all the children at the school.”

Sally said: “We are so grateful to Pat. Her enthusiasm has been infectious and she has been a great ambassador for Jigsaw in the local community by spreading the word about what we do. She has also helped us secure support from other people and organisations.”
