A LANE closure on the A31 Farnham bypass for litter picking and grass cutting will extend to the Shepherd and Flock roundabout from today (Friday).

Surrey County Council began a two-week programme of cyclical works on the bypass between the Hampshire county boundary and Hickleys Corner on Monday this week (May 15).

Between May 19 and 22 this work will extend to the Shepherd and Flock and the A325 Hale Road and Farnborough Road, and then as far as the A31/Runfold junction from May 23 to 26.

The works, which require lane closures to ensure the safety of council workers, are expected to increase congestion on the A31.

Delays are also likely on the A325 in East Street from May 21 to 24 as South East Water reinstates a water supply.
