A Queen Elizabeth II penny dated 1967 was given to all the children at Grayshott Primary School in memory of the Queen and as a lasting keepsake.

Each penny coin is in bright uncirculated condition and housed in a special mounted sleeve so the coin will be protected from the elements for another 50 years.

The 1967 penny coins was a donation from Phil Bates, who bought them some 50 years ago and kept them safely stored.

The pennies were surplus to the same coin donation he gave in 2012 for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – which were given to Grayshott children.
