A LONG-awaited facelift for Petersfield's Lavant Street which began last week could transform the important town street within the next 12 months.

The ultimate aim is a tree-lined green aspect for the street which links the town centre and the railway centre.
It aims to make Lavant Street a more attractive shopping destination in its own right and an important gateway to the South Downs National Park.
