A NEW Tesco supermarket could be on the way to Bordon, but only if a retail consultant's report shows that there will be no adverse impact on trade at the Forest Centre.

East Hampshire district councillors voted at a meeting last Thursday to give the store provisional planning permission - but said if Hillier Parker's retail report was not with the district council by November 8, then councillors should debate the merits of a food store again.
