WAVERLEY Council has taken the next step towards the regeneration of East Street by giving its approval to a draft design brief for consultation.

The development strategy behind the brief cannot be made public "because third parties are involved" but the proposals plan in the brief, which may become the blueprint for would-be developers, carries no surprises.
