Committee member Gillian Lamb said: “We are a group of local mums who volunteer to deliver this not-for-profit scheme every year. We try to make the scheme varied and stimulating over the two weeks with a broad range of activities and experiences.”
There is a huge amount of work involved in planning and delivering the scheme and many busy parents give generously of their time in the run up.
“We also benefit from a number of sponsors who help us out financially to enable us to deliver the scheme at reasonable daily cost, so special thanks to the Tilford parochial charity, the Farnham Lions and Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner David Munro,” added Gillian.
“Given all that, it is especially pleasing that this year marks the 20th year in which a succession of mums have volunteered their time for the benefit of the children of Farnham and Tilford.”
