POLICE are growing concerned for a former Farnham woman missing from a hospital in Crawley.
Margaret Rule was being treated at Langley Green Hospital and told staff she was going into town to visit the bank at around 5.15pm on Saturday, January 2. However she did not return or make contact with the hospital.
The 52 year old is originally from Farnham and because of her mental health, struggles to look after herself.
Detective Constable Graham Milner said: "We are extremely concerned for Margaret as we don’t believe she will look after herself while she is away from hospital and will not try and look for help if she needs it.
“As the weather has been extremely wet and windy since she went missing we are concerned she won’t have found shelter.
"We have no photo of Margaret as she has no next of kin. She is described as 5’ 4" and skinny, she has long untidy brown hair and brown eyes.
“She was last seen wearing a purple bobble hat which covered her ears, a brown coat, black trousers and plimsolls. She can be known to stare intensely at people.
"If anyone has seen her or knows where she might be, they are asked to please contact us."
Sussex Police, which is leading the search for Margaret, can be contacted on [email protected] on serial 715 of 02/01 or call 999 if she is in danger.
