FOR the very young growing up is an important part of life and the toddlers at Blackmoor Badgers were taken through several growing stages of plants and animals on Wednesday.
In the pre-school garden, they were allowed to plant vegetables, such as carrots and flowers, and over the coming weeks they will see them grow, and soon they will be able to eat the vegetables.
One of the best parts of the day was being introduced to baby chicks and rabbits, and the animals will return later in the year so the youngsters can see how big they have grown.
The children also had fun and a lot of giggles looking at photos of themselves as babies and seeing how much they had grown and also realising that they will one day be as tall as their teachers.
