A LANDSLIP at St Catherine’s Tunnel just south of Guildford Station has blocked all lines to Portsmouth and Gatwick Airport.

No trains are running following the incident at around 8.30am and services are cancelled, delayed or revised.

The disruption is expected to continue into the evening.

Network Rail engineers are assessing the site and the disruption is expected to last into the evening.

Trains between Portsmouth and Waterloo may be diverted via Basingstoke, or run between Waterloo and Guildford, or between Portsmouth and Haslemere.

Trains between Waterloo and Woking will be extended to Guildford where possible.

Replacement buses are running between Haslemere and Guildford and Woking and Guildford.

A SWR spokesman said: “We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey.”
