FARNHAM teenager Hattie Sproule has donated 11 inches of her flowing locks and more than £300 to help make real hair wigs for young cancer sufferers.
The 17-year-old Farnborough Sixth Form College student and former Lord Wandsworth pupil underwent the snip at Lucie Harrington salon in Farnborough Road in aid of The Little Princess Trust.
She said: “I’ve been growing my hair since the age of seven and thought it was time for a change, but I didn’t want it to go to waste.
“A few of my friends have donated to The Little Princess Trust before and I’m very lucky that my hair can grow back, so thought it would be nice to help someone less fortunate.
“I also have various friends and family members whose lives have been touched by cancer, so it was the perfect charity.”
Hattie raised a total of £326 via her online fundraising page, and thanked Lucie Harrington for offering to cut her hair for free.
