The group was approached by the Hale Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) with a plea to help replace key texts for the school library.
The school has not been able to update its library with new books in six years, but is now stocked with books directly relevant to the new curriculum.
David Northover from the Round Table visited Hale School on July 9, to meet some of the children who would benefit from the updated library.
He said: “It was great to visit the school on Monday and to meet the children. They were really engaging, and I was very impressed with the knowledge and interest they demonstrated in the various topics they had been studying.”
This isn’t the first time the group has helped Hale School. Past donations have funded a dinosaur workshop attended by the entire school, and bought new rugs for the classrooms.
In return, over the years Hale has helped the group by selling tickets for the annual Farnham fireworks display.
Lucy, from Hale PTA thanked the group.
“They are a fantastic group of people and we are very grateful for their support with special thanks to Matt Chisnall and David Northover,” she said.
