DEDICATED supporters of dog rescue charity Celia Cross Greyhound Trust raised more than £800 at a Happy Hound Day in Fernhurst.
Kerry Jordan from Fur & Fables Dog Photography in Fernhurst and her friend Debbie from Redhound For Dogs launched their first fundraiser for a charity that is close to their hearts in 2017.
This month’s event at Fernhurst Pavilion was their fourth joint effort and they have netted more than £2,500 so far.
Kerry said: “To start with, we invited a few of our favourite brands and I did mini-shoots with a percentage going to the charity from any sales.
“From there it steamrollered and we added dog shows, catering, more stalls, the sausage catching competition for the hounds, and this year we added the hugely-popular Blur of Fur.
“The Blur of Fur speed competition winner clocked a whopping 40mph. We are always astounded by how many turn up. It was a roaring success.”
