FAMILY and friends joined together on Saturday (July 20) to remember Haslemere toddler Harry Smith, whose life was cruelly cut short at 20 months by the little-known condition Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood.

Harry’s parents Claire and Lee held a Super Heroes party at Haslewey Community Centre for what would have been Harry’s third birthday and raised more than £300 to support SUDC UK, the only charity nationally to research of the condition that claims the lives of more than 40 children every year.

Claire and Lee want to raise as much money as possible for SUDC UK in the hope the research it funds will discover any tell-tale signs that could prevent other families from suffering such a devastating loss.

Claire said: “Saturday was such an amazing day. Thank you so much to everyone who came to support SUDC UK and remember our son Harry on his third birthday.”
