A HARVEST thanksgiving festival at St Thomas-on-The Bourne Church has raised more than £700 to support refugees fleeing the Middle East crisis.
The money was raised with the sale of fresh vegetables, bread, fruit, eggs and cakes gifted by parishioners.
After the traditional harvest service everyone congregated in the courtyard for a hog roast lunch with beer and cider followed by profiteroles.
All funds raised will be donated to Canon Andrew White’s Foundation for Relief and Rehabilitation in the Middle East - one of the many ways the St Thomas congregation is raising funds to help refugees.
