NORTH Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group and GP practices across North Hampshire have launched the Wow! Awards, allowing patients, their families and carers to nominate staff for going above and beyond.
Staff can be nominated in excellent care, above and beyond, and collaborative working.
By nominating staff at GP practices, the Awards will also empower patients and the public to shape the care and services received across North Hampshire. Fantastic care that has been highlighted will be shared as ‘best practice’ across all of the GP surgeries and enable new ways of working.
Dr Nicola Decker, a GP and clinical chairman at the North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “Our commissioning group is the first one to offer the Wow! Awards in GP practices. We are excited about launching the awards across north Hampshire as it gives us an opportunity to celebrate the wonderful care that takes place in the community. This initiative has been successful in our hospital and we hope to follow in their footsteps.

We also know that our patients and their families or carers are the best ones to judge the quality of this care. So this is a joint venture and part of our commitment to take shared responsibility for delivering consistently good care through pathways designed with our people in mind.
“Together we can celebrate the dedicated individuals that help keep North Hampshire healthy by saying thank you.”
