BRAMSHOTT and Liphook Parish Council's offices at the Haskell Centre will remain as an information centre, and stay open five days a week to the public.
A motion proposed by the chairman of the finance and policy committee, Michael Croucher, to close the office every afternoon was thrown out by the majority of councillors during last Monday's full council meeting after heated discussions.
The parish council receives £3,970 from East Hampshire District Council for its information centre status, which would have been lost under Mr Croucher's proposal.
