The 1th Haslemere Beer Festival returned in fine style after a two-year break.
Beer festival chairman and founder Simon Labrow welcomed Haslemere mayor Jacquie Keen, who formally opened the event at Haslemere Hall – assisted by town crier Christian Ashdown.
Jay Seldon assembled a range of real ale, craft beers and ciders – with a choice of more than 40. A new feature was Nepalese curry served in the evenings by the Gurkha Durbar restaurant from Grayshott.
Roger Mcdivitt of Cancer Testing South ran the raffle – which included prizes from Langham Brewery.
The High Spirits Bar featured more local and specialist gins than before plus vodka and rum – which proved very popular.
Marco Frankland, assisted by Ross Buckingham, assembled a line-up of live music in the evenings.
Plans have started for next year’s festival on Friday, September 1, and Saturday, September 2.
