A PROPOSED replanting scheme for the Chestnut Avenue car park in Haslemere could become an eyesore and a harbour for litter says the town's watchdog, the Haslemere Society.

The scheme has been planned to deal with the line of overgrown conifers on the south-western boundary of the car park as further pruning may kill them, but members of Haslemere Society have written to Waverley Borough Council highlighting a number of concerns.
