HASLEMERE Travel has been named ‘number one agent’ in the South and Home Counties by leading tour operator Lusso.

Now celebrating its 30th anniversary, the luxury travel agency also won this award in 2013, 2015 and 2017.

Managing director Gemma Antrobus said: “We were absolutely delighted to receive this prestigious industry award for the fourth time. It’s certainly the perfect, celebratory way to kick off the winter season for all of us.”

Haslemere Travel is now in the running for another high-profile award as its shop has been shortlisted for the first time for Luxury Travel Agency 2019.

Organised by travel magazine TTG, the awards will be presented at a ceremony in London on February 22.

Agents had to go through a rigorous entry process and complete a submission online, which was then judged by a panel of industry experts. Haslemere Travel is on a shortlist of eight.

Gemma said: “Making it to the shortlist is testament to the hard work and professionalism of our team of expert consultants based in Haslemere.

“We are proud of our home town and very much hope we can progress in this competition and shine the spotlight on what local businesses based on our high street can achieve against all the odds in a challenging economic climate.”
