WE'VE all heard about Dr Seuss and hs Cat in the Hat – not to mention his interesting diet of green eggs and ham. But Maths in the Hat? Surely someone isn't doing their sums properly...

Thankfully it all adds up when you hear about the maths and millenery fun that staff and pupils at Petersfield Infant School had during maths week before half term.

Dozens of parents went back to school to play maths games with their children before the youngsters made their own themed hats.

And they're all number one in their parents' eyes, of course!

Some of the reception year pupils from the St Peter's Road school show off their maths-themed hats.
