A COUNCILLOR has called on residents to have their say on the future of Farnham’s community recycling centre (CRC) in Guildford Road.
Surrey County Council is undertaking a public consultation on the future use of CRCs, with the deadline for comments set to expire on September 30.
David Munro, county councillor for Farnham South, believes improvements to Farnham’s CRC are long overdue and has urged people to support him.
He said: “Farnham’s CRC gets busier and busier. It was never designed for this amount of use and, despite the best efforts of staff - and the patience of residents - it can be a trying business to get in and out.
“Surrey County Council have a consultation running on the future use of CRCs. Please complete it and, if you’d like a major upgrade to the CRC, say so on the free-comment section at the end.
“That will be very helpful for local councillors trying to get the money.”
