RESIDENTS of seven East Hampshire villages will have the chance to say where new homes should be built in the last of a series of consultation events run by East Hampshire District Council. The exhibition for Binsted, Grayshott, Chawton, Shalden, Kingsley, Headley and Lindford is at Headley village hall on August 5, from 3.30pm to 7pm. The consultation will enable people to see the location of sites that may come forward for future development in their villages and have their say on where the new houses should go and what community facilities might be needed. Planners will be on hand to take comments and guide residents through the process. The council's updated joint core strategy, drawn up in partnership with the South Downs National Park Authority, proposes 10,060 new homes across East Hampshire by 2028.
